The 1.9 TDi 100bhp utilises a VNT Garrett Turbo charger and side mounted intercooler which provide good performance from the PD engine. We utilise torque limiters in our modified software to ensure the engine speeds reach 2,250rpm before bringing in maximum torque, this ensures a higher lbft torque figure to be achieved whilst maintaining clutch life.

Any info on other engines is irrelevant to this situation. On a BRM, especially with a gutted cat, I wouldn't go to stage 2, you will just be tuning it back to 1.5 or less.
Head work on the 1.9 ALH - Porting and polishing the head, installing an upgraded fuel pump and injector, and installing a Power/Sport clutch are all common Stage 2 modifications. stage 2 mods

If you are doing tune and tune only, go stage 1. If you are going to do tune and exhaust or anything else to try to squeeze power out of it, then go 1.5. I know there are a couple sites that sell Malone tuning, look through a couple different pages and see what the sites say for recommendations with the tunes.
It's easier to spend tuning a petrol to high power than a diesel engine because the first 50 Bhp only costs a few hundreds pounds but the next 50 will cost you thousands ! Any modern day car under 1500kg will feel nimble with 200Bhp and a diesel with that Bhp figure will likely have 450Nm of torque to play with which makes for a very good daily
Apr 12, 2012. #2. There is really no magic in writing tunes. I strongly suspect that both Malone and RocketChip increase Boost as well as increasing fueling. The fueling increase can be from either increasing fuel rail pressure or increasing injection timing and duration or (more probably) doing both. Most stage one tunes seem to be pretty much
